The educational ideology for Shirayuri is to investigate the universal truth, to give insight to intellect, and to cultivate a rich human nature based on the spirit of Catholicism. To pursue this ideal and to provide more individualized guidance and instruction, Shirayuri has endeavored to keep the student population under 2000.

Each department has an undergraduate curriculum designed to promote student autonomy and a graduate school for further studies. Constant changes and additions are made to our institution in answer to society’s call for an information-oriented education.
