副題 ／SubTitle	ロマン主義時代を色取った或る作家一族の肖像
授業のねらいと達成目標 ／Course Objectives	(1) イギリス・ロマン主義文学について、高度に専門的で広範な知識を修得する。 (2) 文学テクストと歴史的コンテクストの分析において、ポスト・モダンの批評理論を自在に応用することができる。
授業概要 ／Course description	メアリー・シェリー、パーシー・シェリー、メアリー・ウルストンクラフト、ウィリアム・ゴドウィン。4人とも、イギリス・ロマン主義の時代に活躍した文人である。互いに血縁と婚姻で結ばれた「作家一族」という点から、今では英文学のキャノンにおいて他の文人たちとは一線を画する特別な地位を築いている。彼ら（彼女ら）の稀有な関係性を端緒とし、18世紀後半から19世紀前半にかけてのイギリスの文学、文化、社会、政治を広く概観すること、それが本演習の目的となっている。
