Length of Course of Study

  • Master’s Program: 2 years    Doctoral Program: 3 years

Application Qualifications

Master’s Program

  • University graduate or prospective graduate by March 31st of the year of admission.
  • If from overseas, an individual who has completed 16 years of education at school or who expects to complete by March 31st of the year of admission.
  • Someone designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
  • Someone who is regarded by this graduate school to have academic qualifications equivalent to a university degree or higher.

Doctoral Program

  • Master’s degree holder or a prospective master’s degree holder by March 31st of the year of admission.
  • If from overseas, someone who holds the equivalent of a master’s degree or who expects to complete by March 31st of the year of admission.
  • Someone designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
  • Someone who is regarded by this graduate school to have academic qualifications equivalent to a master’s degree or higher.

Regarding office visits

Applications for office visits by prospective students interested in enrolling in the Graduate School Department of Developmental Psychology and Department of Children’s Literature are dealt with on an individual basis. Applications are accepted from April to before the November admissions application period, and from after the announcement of examination results in November to before the February admissions application period.
