副題 ／SubTitle	English Communication IV
授業のねらいと達成目標 ／Course Objectives	The aim of this course is to enable you to:  (1) understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.  (2) deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.  (3) produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.  (4) describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans. (CEFR Level B1) 「ヨーロッパ言語共通参照枠（CEFR: Common European Framework of Reference for Languages）」におけるA2～B1レベルが到達目標である。すなわち、職場、学校、レジャーの場において遭遇する日常的な話題において、その主意を理解できる。英語圏を旅行する際に起こりうる状況の大部分に対処できる。身近な、あるいは自分自身に関係する話題について、簡単だが筋の通った文章を作れる。自分の経験、将来の展望を言語化できる。自分の主張や計画について、その根拠や理由を簡潔に説明できる。
授業概要 ／Course description	リスニング、スピーキングを中心に、コミュニカティブな英語力の向上を目指す。教室という「疑似英語環境」において、日常会話で使用する自然な英語表現を自在に駆使できるよう訓練する。

準備学習・履修上の注意 ／Notices	(1) 電子辞書の使用推奨。英英辞典（『オックスフォード現代英英辞典』『ロングマン現代英英辞典』等）を収録している電子辞書が望ましい。 (2) 正しい語感を損なわせるという理由から、Google翻訳等のオンライン翻訳サイトの使用厳禁。 (3) 授業外学習（予習・復習）には、1週間につき1時間を要する。 【授業外学修の内容】 授業内で指示した課題への取り組み。

成績評価の方法 ／Evaluation	【評価方法】 授業内小テスト及び中間試験（30%）、期末試験（30%）、積極的な授業参加（40%） 【評価基準】 コミュニカティブな英語表現を正確に理解しているか、授業内にて積極的に英語で発言できるか、以上二点を評価基準とする。 【課題（試験やレポート）に対するフィードバックの方法】 教員が採点・添削した上で、コメントと共に返却する。
備考 ／Notes	この授業には、【討議（ディスカッション、ディベート）】【グループワーク】 【発表（プレゼンテーション）】を取り入れている。
