授業のねらいと達成目標 /Course Objectives |
The aim of this course is to develop students' English productive skills in both speaking and writing, in particular writing that supports the speaking. The course covers both long and short-form speaking, so work will be done on developing students' speech-making and presentation abilities, as well as conversation. This course complements course B which focuses more on speaking. Writing tasks will therefore develop students' writing more so they can write coherent paragraphs as a prelude to essay writing. |
授業概要 /Course description |
Students should take part actively as they will be learning how to express themselves effectively in writing (to be read) and in writing as preparation for their own speaking. They will work on their own, and in collaboration with classmates and get feedback both from classmates and their teacher in order to develop their writing and speech. Students will practice writing clear short sentences so they can express themselves effectively in both speeches and reaction comments. They will also start to develop longer form, paragraph writing. The exact details of course tasks and procedure depends on student needs, class conditions and the teacher in charge, so the schedule below is subject to change. |
