授業概要 /Course description |
The course will be conducted in English. Students need to buy the textbook around which the content will be based. Through a code available in the book, students will access various additional listening materials and quizzes to challenge their successful learning. They should bring their own device (laptop, tablet and/or phone) to class for this. Part A of the course will cover the topics in the first half of the book; Part B will cover the topics in the second half of the book. Each topic will take about two class meetings and some homework to complete. The first class will be largely an introduction to the topic and developing what they may already know. The second class will give students a chance to demonstrate their learning through discussion and/or mini-presentations. Some of the work will be done individually, while some of it will be done in pairs and/or small groups. Feedback will come directly from information online, some from the teacher and some from fellow students as they collaborate on their exploration of the topics. The details of the class schedule will depend on the teacher and class conditions, and subject to review. |
