授業のねらいと達成目標 ／Course Objectives	1) Improve confidence and competence in paragraph writing and essay writing focusing on skills of giving detail, organizing information, giving a well-supported opinion. 2) use speaking as a tool to improve writing structure  3) develop analytical ability using graphs, advertisements and sources. 4) developing research skills to form and support their opinion.
授業概要 ／Course description	Course objectives: This class will be all English and student will speak and write and read and listen.The goal of the course is for students to simultaneously improve their English language skills, their knowledge and their ability to think deeply and logically.  The course is designed to build foundations that will enable them to write a graduation thesis in English.
授業計画（授業の形式、スケジュール等） ／Class schedule	第1回：Welcome back, introduction, Summer holidays. Problems and Solutions - vocabulary  第2回：Problems and solutions –graph analysis, discussion, text analysis,  第3回：Problems and solutions – structured writing and writing planning 第4回：Problems and solution – writing, peer and self-check,  第5回：Explaining reasons for opinions, vocabulary, discussion, sentence structure 第6回：Explaining reasons for opinions – connecting ideas, structured writing. 第7回：Explaining reasons for opinions – planning, writing, peer and self-check. 第8回：Public Health - vocabulary, graph analysis, explaining data 第9回：Public Health - visual text analysis – advertisements 第10回：Public Health - –making recommendations based on research. 第11回：Public Health – writing, peer and self-check 第12回：Comparing different theories of the same idea – discussion, text comprehension analysis 第13回：Comparing different theories of the same idea – summarizing and paraphrasing (1) 第14回：Comparing different theories of the same idea. Summarizing and paraphrasing (2) 第15回：Comparing different theories of the same idea. Writing and peer and self-check.
