The aim of this course is to develop students' English longer-form speaking skills through blended learning between classwork and MALL (Mobile Assisted Language Learning) and CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning). At first, the focus will be on developing students' confidence in presenting to small groups before going on to speak to the whole class. They will learn how best to use slideware such as Google Slides, PowerPoint and Keynote, and apps with which to practice presenting and record presentations, such as Moxtra, and for giving peer feedback. この授業はディプロマポリシーの「専攻する言語について、高度なコミュニケーション能力を身につけている。」に対応しています。 |

| 授業概要 ／Course description |
The course will be conducted in English. Students should bring to class their mobile devices (phones and/or tablets and laptops). We will explore ways to develop our language and presentation skills using such devices. At first in pairs and small groups, students will have plenty of opportunities to interact, present and get feedback which will help them improve their skills to whole class. As well as presenting actively, students will evaluate each other and give feedback, in class, and online using Forms, or PeerEval, or the course management system. The details of the class schedule will depend on the teacher and class conditions, and subject to review. |

Questionnaire on doing presentations etc. Preparing and practicing a self-introduction talk. Submit voiced self-introduction. 第2回：Talking about a hobby or interest with photos through Zoom share screen. 第3回 : Making good visuals for slides. Introduction to presentation apps. 第4回：Preparing a "My Passion" presentation. 第5回：Practicing “My passion” presentation. Giving feedback. 第6回：Doing ’My Passion’ presentation. 第7回：Start research & prep. for "Informative" presentations. 第8回：Effective presentation speaking style: stress, pausing etc. Writing and revising. 第9回：Informative Presentations, round robin style. Exchanging feedback. 第10回：Start travel presentation project. Making a survey. 第11回：Making a graph in slide-ware. Discussing travel topics & survey. 第12回：Travel Presentations round one. Giving feedback. 第13回：Presentations round two. 第14回：Recording presentation online. 第15回：Giving and receiving presentation feedback. |

Students will join a class website to access materials, receive notifications, submit slides and other work, and share questions and comments. The amount of preparation time each week will depend on how near a presentation task is, but on average, about an hour per week. 【授業外学修の内容】 毎回の授業の振り返りを行うこと。授業において指示した課題を行うこと。 |

【評価方法】 Self-introduction (10%); Introducing my passion (20%); Informative (25%); Travel Survey (25%); Feedback & discussion comments (10%); Active participation (10%). Students will be evaluated throughout the term on their work. They need to complete the various assignments. 【評価基準】 授業への取組：積極的にグループワークやディスカッションへ参加している 【課題（試験やレポート）に対するフィードバックの方法】 General feedback comments and individual feedback will be given on presentation tasks, in writing and / or verbally. |
