授業のねらいと達成目標
/Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to develop students' English longer-form speaking skills through blended learning between classwork and MALL (Mobile Assisted Language Learning) and CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning). 
Following on from the first semester, the focus will be on developing students' confidence in speaking to larger groups and using slideware such as Google Slides, PowerPoint and Keynote. They will also be active in interviewing to gather opinions, and researching topics, and combining them to make presentations.

授業概要
/Course description
The course will be conducted in English. Students should bring to class their 
mobile devices (phones and/or tablets and laptops). We will explore ways to develop our language and presentation skills using such devices. At first in pairs and small groups, students will have plenty of opportunities to interact, present and get feedback which will help them improve their skills to whole class. As well as presenting actively, students will evaluate each other and give feedback online using Forms and/or PeerEval.  
The details of the class schedule will depend on the teacher and class conditions, and subject to review.

第1回:Getting re-acquainted speaking activity. Talks in groups about your summer vacation. Preparing online presentation. Submit for HW. 
第2回:Allocation of survey questions for "Jobs and Work" presentation.    
第3回:Continuing to do interviews for survey. Starting research.   
第4回:Preparing and practicing the presentation.  
第5回:First round of full class presentations. Evaluate and give feedback. 
第6回:Second round of full class presentations. Evaluate and give feedback.
第7回:Submit self-reflection report. Discussion of presentations. Choosing the next topic, A Person I Admire. 
第8回:Preparing, practicing, and revising 'A Person I Admire' presentations,  
第9回:Week one to class, presentations. Evaluating and exchanging
            feedback.
第10回:Round two of class presentations. Exchanging feedback. 
第11回:Submitting self-reflection report. Allocating social issues. Start interviewing.
第12回:Finish interviewing. Researching. Preparing final presentation. 
第13回:Round one of Social Issues Presentation. Peer evaluating.  
第14回:Round two of Social Issues Presentation. Peer evaluating. 
第15回:Make-ups for missed or below passing presentations. Wrap up
             discussion. 
準備学習・履修上の注意
/Notices
Students will join a class website to access materials, receive notifications, 
submit slides and other work, and share questions and comments. 

The amount of preparation time each week will depend on how near a presentation task is, but on average, about an hour minutes per week.

Summer pres. (5%); Jobs Presentation (25%); Person I Admire (20%); Social Issues Presentation (30%); Giving Feedback (10%); Active Participation (10%). 

Students will be evaluated throughout the term on their work. They need to complete the various assignments.
