副題 ／SubTitle	ロマン主義時代の風景画と崇高の美学
授業のねらいと達成目標 ／Course Objectives	(1) 18世紀後半から19世紀前半にかけてのイギリス文化について、専門的な知識を修得する。 (2) 絵画の作品を歴史的コンテクストに基づいて解釈することができる。
授業概要 ／Course description	ルネサンス以降、絵画はヨーロッパの主要な芸術として発展していった。イタリアとフランスに長らく後塵を拝してきたイギリスでも、1768年に王立美術院が設立されたのを機に、ヨーロッパに誇るべき優れた画家が続々と登場したのである。本講義では、イギリス・ロマン主義時代を代表する風景画を題材にして、崇高の美学について学ぶ。果たして、アルプス最高峰のモンブランを美の極致として描き、自然界の様々な超越を理想化していった当時の風景画は、世俗化した社会に神の領域を回復するための芸術的営為であったのか、この問いに答えてみたい。

準備学習・履修上の注意 ／Notices	授業外学習には、1週間につき4時間程度を要する。前回の授業内容をハンドアウトで復習し、次回扱う予定の資料（英語の抜粋を含む）に目を通しておくこと。また、Google Classroom で与える課題に、期限までに取り組むこと。

成績評価の方法 ／Evaluation	【評価方法】 不定期の課題（40%）および期末試験（60%）により、総合的に評価する。 【評価基準】 不定期の課題：授業内容を正確に理解しているか。 期末試験：論理的に明晰な文章で書かれているか。 【課題（試験やレポート）に対するフィードバックの方法】 不定期の課題：授業内で解説を行う。 期末試験：最終回の授業にて、採点済みの答案を返却し、解説を行う。
