授業概要 /Course description |
This course is designed to introduce students to some snapshots of formative episodes in modern Japanese history, particularly events that are connected to Japan's foreign policy. The course will include historiography and different interpretations of the same event, as such fewer events will be covered in greater detail and from a variety of perspectives. Students are strongly encouraged to research themselves to compare historical interpretations. Depending on the coronavirus situation, students may be required to conduct a personal research project interviewing a person from an older generation. |

Students are expected to Come to class, and in the event of unavoidable absence, to notify the teacher prior to the lesson. Do homework thoughtfully & thoroughly as it forms the base of class discussion. Work positively and co-operatively with classmates. Be curious and questioning and interested. Do research and write it up as a report 授業外学習(予習・復習・授業内で指示した課題への取り組み)には、1週間につき4時間を要する。 【授業外学修の内容】 毎回の授業の予習と振り返りを行うこと。授業において指示した課題を行うこと。 |
