授業概要 /Course description |
The aim of the course is to help students use English at an intermediate to advanced level as they prepare for the workplace. The focus is on systematically developing students' business sense (ビジネス・センス) through high-interest topics. The lessons include a close reading of business articles to (1) identify main idea; (2) understand and describe details; (3) improve skills of analysis through critical thinking tasks; (4) and expand vocabulary at a level above TOEIC 600. Above all, the lessons will be communicative as students will regularly be encouraged to practice using English creatively through discussions and presentations. |

To succeed in this advanced English business communication course, students must come to class prepared and ready to participate actively in the simulation activities. Although this course a more advanced than EBC I, II, and III courses, the most important requirement to get the maximum benefits of the lessons is a challenging and business oriented mind-set. At least 4 hours of out-of-class pre and post lesson preparation and review are required. 【授業外学修の内容】 毎回の授業の予習と振り返りを行うこと。授業において指示した課題を行うこと。 |
