授業のねらいと達成目標 ／Course Objectives	Your purpose is to plan, research and present a REAL travel abroad project in English. You will use practical, everyday English to communicate with your classmates. To introduce you to essential, practical travel vocabulary. To improve your online research skills. To widen your knowledge of different cultures and customs. To improve your listening skills. 授業概要 ／Course description	It is a multi-skilled travel and communication course that will give you the opportunity to learn about a country of your choice, and to plan a REAL trip there. Each unit is designed to introduce you to essential travel vocabulary through a wide variety of activities.  You will make use of travel guidebooks, travel websites on the Internet, and other English sources to find all the information you need. You will then record this information in a separate travel journal, which you will use to plan your final travel abroad project, a two to three week trip to a country of your choice. Additionally, you will plan, draft, and present a Poster Presentation ( mid-term) and also use Powerpoint/Keynote/Google Slides to present about your country.
授業計画（授業の形式、スケジュール等） ／Class schedule	第1回：Getting to know the course and introducing yourselves. 第2回：Select a country and how to get there.  To choose a travel insurance policy for your country. 第3回：To learn about what fun, historical activities you can do in the different  areas of your country. 第4回：To learn about transportation in your country.            To make plans for short trips within your country. 第5回：Exploring the countries regions.  To learn about things to do in different states, provinces, countries or regions of your chosen country 第6回：Exploring the countries regions. To learn about things to do in different states, provinces, countries or regions of your chosen country 第7回：Plan a one day trip within your country (either the countryside or city) 第8回：Mid-term poster presentations 第9回：The Arts.  To research about cinema, dance, literature, music, painting and theatre of your target country. 第10回：The Arts. To research about cinema, dance, literature, music, painting and theatre of your target country. 第11回：Research the wildlife and nature of your country 第12回：To make a detailed itinerary for a two to three week trip to your country. 第13回：Presentations about your country 第14回：Presentations about your country 第15回：Feedback and wrap up
準備学習・履修上の注意 ／Notices	You are expected to do the homework ( about 60 minute per week) and prepare for class activities. Dictionaries would be helpful.  Positive participation is important because it is a very communicative class. This is a very practical, content based course, which gives you the chance to improve your all round English Communication skills.

成績評価の方法 ／Evaluation	【評価方法】 Your final grade will be based on Class Participation (35%), Homework (30%), and Mid-term and Final Presentations (35%). 【評価基準】 For presentations, three areas will be taught/assessed ; namely, the visual message, the physical message and the story message. 【課題（試験やレポート）に対するフィードバックの方法】 Feedback will be given by the teacher on all assignments.
